I'm a shorebird field ecology specialist. In the field, or when birding, I often carry a camera (Canon R7, EF 100-400). I'm always carrying binoculars and sometimes even a field scope. I have a few bags that I can carry around when I'm doing survey work, but I prefer to have easier access to my camera when on a walk, and sometimes a sling is just too much. But this Route Pack seems to do the trick. I'll be testing it on tidal flats in a few weeks to give it a real go, but so far it's been practical / solid and holds my camera very comfortably. I'm also happy to have a tight camera bag for keeping safe inside my travel pack. Well done.
